What does this sentence mean?   " If you decide to have a pet, you have to take total responsibility."  What are some ways that you would take responsibility for a pet?

    I have to take responsibility for Puffin and let her role in her ball and give her treats and clean her cage out I also have to spend time with her cause she’s social. Puffin is my hamster like Humphrey.

    You have to feed it. Give it good care. Love it. Give it fresh water and clean it's cage--duwey me leslie class
